By the time our Caribbean cruise aired The Perfect Storm in our stateroom, I could have told you it was going to be THAT kind of vacation.

The whole trip had been a perfect storm of missteps, mishaps, and mistakes, and I knew early on that I had to catalog it all. Unlike a previous cruise, where we were treated to a showing of Titanic in our stateroom but still had a lovely time, most of this week felt like a comedy of errors. Light on the comedy part, and heavy on the errors.

Linda M. Au

Linda M. Au shares her home in western Pennsylvania with three guinea pigs and her eternally patient engineer husband, Wayne Parker. She and Wayne share six grown children between them.

Linda's been a proofreader and typesetter for more than thirty years. With humor collections HEAD IN THE SAND and FORK IN THE ROAD, she climbed over the proverbial publishing desk to save for posterity the ridiculous (yet mundane) stuff that happens around her.

Another humor book, TRAIN OF THOUGHT: TRAVEL ESSAYS FROM A ONE-TRACK MIND, sprang from her bucket-list cross-country train trip in the spring of 2017.

Her real love, though, is writing fiction. THE SCARLET LETTER OPENER, a cozy mystery, was her first published novel, with many more novels in different fictional worlds to follow. Her slightly more serious women's fiction, GRAY AREA, is also available in paperback and Kindle formats. The next two books in this cozy series, The Red Ink Mysteries, will be available in summer 2019 (THE TELL-TALE HEART ATTACK) and autumn 2019 (CHARLOTTE'S WEBSITE).

SECRET AGENT MANNY, a humorous "spy" novel that started with a dare, is also now available.

When she's not writing, Linda is a writing coach for Write At Home, author liaison for the Beaver County BookFest in Pennsylvania, and a board member for the St. Davids Christian Writers' Association.
